Baby Diaper Service 101

We are very excited to announce starting in August that we will be offering a "Baby Diaper Service 101" class the 2nd Thursday of every month! The first class will be held August 12th, 2010 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Birth and Beyond's classroom & event space in downtown Seattle at 2719 East Madison Street!!

The 1 hour classes will be led by Mark Stief, the President/Owner of Baby Diaper Service. We will be explaining how our diaper service works; focusing on the mechanics of the service - ie: sign-up, Pre-Birth Deliveries, what to do when the baby comes home, where to put your child's soiled diapers, how to order accessories, how to make payments, how to interrupt service for vacations, how to change diaper size and count, what do you do if your child gets a rash, etc. There will be inter-active training, showing the "how to's" of cloth diapering a baby. Demonstrating folds, diaper covers and various closure systems, and we will discuss special techniques for diapering boys vs. girls and methods for diapering overnight. We will discuss the environmental benefits of cloth (re-usable) diapers vs "disposable" diapers as well as the health and financial advantages of cloth vs. "disposable" diapers. We will conclude the class with a Q & A session allowing the new and expectant parents to ask anything they want about cloth diapering. The class will be $10 per family, and the cost can be applied as a gift credit towards your service when/if you sign up with our service!
