Company History


Baby Diaper Service has been serving generations of babies in the Puget Sound Region since 1946. After returning from WWII Dave Abrams started his diaper service in the Fremont-area of Seattle. Mr. Abrams ran his business until 1972 when he sold to Brian Smithson. Mr. Smithson presided over the business for 30 years implimenting many positive changes. He was instrumental in expanding the company's service, he was a frequent President of the National Association of Diaper Services (www.diapernet.org) and he was the founder and publisher of Northwest Baby & Child newspaper (www.nwbaby.com). This is an award winning local parenting publication committed to bringing advise and help to new and expectant parents.

Mission Statement
Our mission at Baby Diaper Service is to act in a socially-responsible manner for our customers, our community and the environment we all share. We endeavor to run and build our business on a two word premise - Communication and Relationships. Being the last major diaper service in Western Washington, we view our role in the communities we serve as vital and important. We try to give back to our communities through charitable donations, a local workforce and using the maximum number of local suppliers in order to keep as much money in the communities and serving our neighbors.
